Frequently asked
How do I log a test?
Tap Log results on the dashboard. Enter alkalinity, calcium, magnesium, nitrate, phosphate, salinity, temperature, and pH — skip anything you did not test. Previous values prefill so unchanged numbers are a tap through. Add an optional note, then save.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-in, no cloud account of ours, and no tracking. Your readings live on the phone.
Can I back up to iCloud?
Yes, optionally. Data & About has an iCloud switch. When it is on, Apple syncs your private database to your iCloud account. When it is off, nothing leaves the device except a CSV you choose to export.
How do I export or import?
Data & About → export writes a CSV you share wherever you want. Import reads that same format back in. Skipped parameters stay empty cells, never zeros.
Can I log more than one tank?
Yes. Add additional tanks from Data & About → Add Tank. Once you have more than one, the Dashboard shows a tank picker. Log Results stays with the selected tank, and CSV import and export use that tank.
Can I track other measurements?
Yes. Add as many numeric custom metrics as you need in Tank Settings. They appear in Quick Log, on the Dashboard, and in CSV import and export for the selected tank.
Reminders are not firing.
iOS has to allow notifications. If you denied them, open iPhone Settings → Reefline Log → Notifications. Daily, weekly, and monthly reminders repeat on their own. Reminders set to every 14 days are scheduled 16 weeks ahead and refreshed whenever you open Reefline Log.
Are the unit conversions trustworthy?
Values are stored in canonical units and converted only for display. Specific gravity is SG(25/25). Alkalinity is dKH or meq/L. The conversion math is tested; Data & About has a short explainer.
