Reefline Log
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 September 2026
Overview
Reefline Log is a one-time paid iPhone app for logging reef-tank water tests. We do not run ads, analytics, accounts, or tracking. We do not sell data. There is no Reefline server.
What we collect
We do not collect personal data. Test readings, tank names, custom metric definitions and readings, notes, target bands, reminders, and settings are stored on your iPhone in the app’s local database. Each reading and custom metric belongs to the tank you selected. We cannot see them.
iCloud (optional)
If you turn iCloud sync on, Apple stores that same private database in your iCloud account using CloudKit’s private database. That sync is between your devices and Apple, not us. You can turn it off in Data & About. We do not operate a backend and we cannot read your CloudKit data.
Export
CSV export is something you start. The file is written to a share sheet you control. We do not upload it.
Third parties
Reefline Log does not include advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, crash reporters, or social logins. Optional iCloud uses Apple’s services under Apple’s privacy policy.
Notifications
Reminders are local notifications on your device. They are not push messages from a server. Titles are the ones you typed.
No account
The app does not require an account or an email address to function. If you email support, we see whatever you send in that email.
Children
The app does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will post the update on this page with a new date.
